OVERSEAS MARRIAGES

This is a collection of marriages carried out overseas, including Scotland & Ireland that don't appear in the GRO indexes. They were transcribed from the Births, Marriages & Deaths columns of the on-line archives of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire newspapers. Please be aware that these would need to be verified from original marriage sources where possible but do give some indications for people looking for marriages not found in England and Wales. There are currently nearly 500 entries in the list from 1844 to 1939 and as more are found the list will be updated. The file is in two versions, Alphabetical Grooms and Alphabetical Brides, both in Adobe .pdf formats
